My old icon

This is my original icon, which I am now retiring in favor of Daring Do, or possibly another pony. It's an update of [link] my old icon, which had been done in Microsoft Paint, moving the mouse by hand.

This updated icon was created some time in 2010 or 2011, I forget which, at DVC, or Diablo Valley College. (I'll update this if I find my transcript.) I used Adobe Photoshop to completely redo it, working with two layers and drawing with straight lines.

The sequence of colors is unique, and as you may notice, not in typical color order. Colors normally go red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, but here, I arranged the colors across from each other according to their opposites in Metroid Prime Hunters.

In MPH, the affinity weapons are each designated one of the six primary colors. [link] You can read that article to learn more about how their opposites work. That was the inspiration behind this icon.

I haven't told that story much, but now it's here forever, so I can refer back to this instead of retyping it now!

Welcome in Daring Do, because she's going to be my icon for the foreseeable future! I might temporarily use another pony occasionally, like on my Facebook or Twitter accounts, but only for special occasions, like the beginning or ending of Seasons.
